High Cholesterol

What Is Cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a sticky, waxy-like substance that is used to make tissue in our body, as well as bile acid (among other things). It is made by our own body so we do not need outside sources (such as food). But the food we eat is directly related to the excess of cholesterol that builds up in our blood vessels, which leads to plaques that cause heart attacks and strokes.
Your total Cholesterol is made up of different parts.
Your LDL (low density lipoprotein)
Your HDL (high density lipoprotein)
And your Triglycerides
